Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kıvanç Bektaş-Kayhan DDS, PhD
Associated Professor Kıvanç Bektaş-Kayhan received her DDS and PhD degrees from the İstanbul University Faculty of Dentistry (2000,2006) respectively. She was trained in Oral Surgery and Medicine. In 2013 she was appointed as Associated Professor in İstanbul University. She is a fellow of European Association of Oral Medicine (EAOM), Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer (MASCC)/ International Society of Oral Oncology (ISOO), Turkish Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (TAOMS) and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Society. She serves in MASCC/ISOO as research lead of the Oral Care Study Group. Her research activity is focused on clinical and molecular based research. She has a special interest in oral cancer and precancer, medication related osteonecrosis of jaws, dental rehabilitation of oncology patients and dental implants. Associated Professor Bektaş-Kayhan has published over 50 scientific papers and a book on oral medicine. She also awarded as ‘Young Scientist’ in 2006 by EAOM, Merit Award by Hellenic Society of Supportive Care in Cancer in 2011.
