Dr. Sharon Akrish graduated from dentistry in 1993 at the New York University College of Dentistry and completed her specialization studies in head and neck pathology in 2007 at the Gabriela Goldschleger School of Dental Medicine at the University of Tel Aviv. Since 2008, Dr. Akrish has practiced head and neck pathology at the Rambam Health Care Campus. She is a senior lecturer at the Ruth and Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine as well as the Maurice and Gabriela Goldschleger School of Dental Medicine. Her teaching subjects include general histology, head and neck pathology and head and neck anatomy. Dr. Akrish’s primary research interests include oral cancer, salivary gland tumors and odontogenic tumors where she has over 32 published studies on these subjects. Dr. Akrish has presented her research findings in over 20 local and international conferences.
